AoSTH Dr Ivo Robotnik vs SHS Dr Victor Von Doom
"No man chooses evil because it is evil; he only mistakes it for happiness, the good he seeks."-Mary Wollstonecraft
Doom: Villainville's Grand Leader
For every hero, there must be a villain, and even since birth these two have been readied for that purpose. From the constant bullying from their mothers, other kids, and just about anybody else, they knew the only good world possible is one ruled by THEM. But those pesky, meddling, rage inducing heroes stop them at every step. Whether it's robots, magic crystals, or cosmic powers, they'd always be thwarted by their heroic adversaries. But now the only people in their way is each other, so let's see once and for all who would win in a DEATHBATTLE!...blog.
Before We Begin...
For the rule of cool we will be taking a loose approach to both's canons, meaning basically anything that uses the AoStH or SHS designs will be taken into account unless very highly definitively non-canon, so stuff like Mean Bean Machine, the SHS comics, the toys, and even the AoStH live show will all be counted and considered to leave no stone unturned; so buckle in. This will also be an army fight, giving both every goon and weapon they've had across their careers
Background
Born as the son of Mamma Robotnik, Doctor Ivo Robotnik is a part of a long line of Robotniks, dating all the way back to ancient Egypt, fighting do-gooder hedgehogs throughout. Yet in spite of his villainous ancestors, Ivo seemed rather nice at first, being just a baby who had fun with his teddy bear. Yet Mamma Robotnik would take the bear away and pick on him for his weight, with other kids doing the same, which instilled Robotnik with the hate and evil present day Mobians would know and fear. With lovely descriptors like "rotten", "mean", and "the most selfish individual in all of Mobius", it's clear to see why no man or woman would ever like the egg bellied menace, but that wouldn't stop Robotnik from making his own fans in the form of his robot minions, following his every order to take over Mobius. Yet from mind control, to becoming a superhero, to interdimensional creatures, one hedgehog would always thwart him, and that would instill a hate so large nothing could overcome it; not even the episode ending can stop Robotnik from saying just how much he hates that hedgehog! In one of his ultimate schemes, Robotnik would time travel to collect powerful artifacts called the Chaos Emeralds to become the ultimate being in the universe and ultimately won, yet even this couldn't stop his pesky foe from stopping him yet again, and keeping Mobius safe as always.
Son of Coco Von Doom, a well know supervillain, Victor would spend his life being told off by other kids for his ugliness, and his mom for his lack of evil, with this leading Doom to masking his face and start his reign as the ruler of Villainville: the number one place for villains and competitor to Super Hero City. He rules with a literal iron fist, every villain working for him as if they didn't they know the consequences. One day, high above Super Hero City, he found a powerful artifact, but unfortunately for him, so did another troublesome hero, and in the struggle it was broken apart, with its pieces flying all across the world; these pieces called fractals. Doom would start a race to collect all of them before the heroes did, and eventually through trickery, wit, and bribery he did, yet ultimately was useless when the mighty being Galactus came to earth, proving Doom meant little to nothing in the grand scheme of the cosmos, but even after this, Doom would scheme even in his prison cell, so one day he could gain ultimate power once again.
Intelligence
Robotnik
Being an evil supergenius, Robotnik is obviously a well, genius, despite what his creation's intelligence would lead you to believe. He has a great knowledge of robotics and engineering, creating fully sentient lifeforms and all sorts of machines, and he's even able to outsmart and get one up on Sonic at times, who himself has shown considerable speed in how fast he can think and solve problems, and figuring out how to beat the fastest thing alive is no small task. He's taken over worlds, escaped advanced prisons, and easily understood technology from other planets and dimensions.
Doom
Despite not being a member of the Big Head Society, Doom's brain is quite large. Having made his Doom-bots along with many technological wonders, such as his quantum popcorn machine, or the time platform, the only time machine in the universe for a substantial amount of time. He's also matched people like Tony Stark in intelligence, and has been able to steal and even copy the powers of those like the Superhero Squad. Through extreme trial and error he was even able to escape the world's most heavily guarded prison to continue his reign.
Equipment
Robotnik
Egg-O-Matic
It's gone by a variety of names, but the gist is always the same. Robotnik's personal flying machine, equipped with about what you'd expect: lasers, hammers, metal hands, and a giant ball on a chain, having a toolkit reminiscent of his classic Eggmobile in the games. It can also sport two extra seats for other goons to join him. It also has mind control beams sleeping gas and magnets.
Robo-Matic Machine
Subatomic Slow-Go Beam WeaponThe miracle machine to Robotnik's robot army. By putting basically anything half related to the type of robot he wants in this machine, he can make that robot through unknown means in a matter of minutes.
Speediment Gum
By simply having this gum somewhere on you, you can become even faster than Sonic the Hedgehog.
This ray can turn anyone, no matter their speed, as slow as a sloth, and be reversed to turn anyone as fast as Sonic for a entire hour.
The Crane Brain Drain
When hooked up to this device, all kinds of knowledge can be put into a Badnik, including combat knowledge letting them functionally become master martial artists.
With one shot of this ray anyone hit becomes a loyal robot to Robotnik's regime.
Long Tank
This huge tank possesses a magnet beam able to send someone to the North Pole permanently.
The Insto-Freeze Cannon
A cannon designed to freeze objects, including Tails, who was huge enough to tower over a town at the time.
The Ultra Freezomatic
A mostly similar freezing device, this one is able to freeze everyone on Mobius, create snow balls, cover mountains in snow, and concentrate all its power in one spot.
The Super Supreme Stopper Zapper
This device is able to completely stop an object on the molecular level to functionally petrify it.
About what you'd expect from the name. When the bomb explodes, it releases sneezing powder, making people sneeze so hard they can destroy a hill.
Upside-Downer Scrambler Blaster
A blaster that's able to rearrange body parts.
Duplicator
Stupidity Ray
Portable Portal Transporter
Color Machine
Mean Bean Machine
A rather self descriptive one, where whatever it shoots gets duplicated on an exact scale, including living things.
One shot from this makes you, surprise surprise, stupid. Wow these names are getting uncreative.
SPIM
Finally, one that doesn't explain itself. Powered by highly unstable BLAMO, this object can implode anything, even the entire world.
Electro-Suction Plate
Through electric means, this device can pull things in and keep them stuck there.
Egg-O-Matic Force Field
Servitude Patch A forcefield strong enough to hold Sonic. It's powered by a satellite and can engulf the entire planet, and unlike a typical forcefield, this one is put around the foe to trap them.
By putting this on, anybody, organic or mechanical, become completely loyal to Robotnik.
Portable Portal Transporter
Originally designed to just be a portal maker, it turned out to be able to transport people into any work of fiction and take those works of fiction into the real world. This includes a magic wand, which allowed Robotnik to alter reality.
Every Computer Program
From combining every program on his computer, Robotnik made a device capable of making anyone a thousand times smarter, with it being able able to turn someone as idiotic Grounder into a genius capable of predicting countless events, and could even surpass Robotnik's normal intelligence.
Broadcasting Device
Holograms
Neutron Wall
This device broadcasts a signal which disrupta all technology on the planet, letting Robotnik control them.
Used to trick Sonic and Tails, it's about what you expect from holograms.
Described to be impenetrable, doesn't do much more than a standard wall.
De-Atomizer
Ghost-Conjuring KitAble to completely atomize an object as the name suggests, although it also can re-materialize and even duplicate an object.
Does what it says on the tin: conjures ghosts.
After doing a ritual with it you can turn anyone into stone.
Bad Luck Emitter
Color Machine
A rather basic hovercraft, but it can steal colors from an entire island potentially even the stars.
This ever iconic contraption takes beans and turns them into robots to do his bidding.
Bobo Machines
While not as mobile as his other options for turning things into robots, it's much more potent; able to nullify rings that could cure weaker roboticization.
Invisibility Machine
Minor Plot Stuff
Non-Physical Interaction
Beyonder Powers
SWATbots
Loki
Enchantress
Mystique
Grey Gargoyle
Dormammu
Paste Pot Pete
Mysterio
Makes Robotnik completely invisible.
Mech
Didn't really do much but who doesn't love a mech, it even looks like the Death Egg Robot.
Weird Stuff
Not sure exactly what to call these but Robotnik has multiple board game related traps that are able to send people back spaces and even through the pages of the book.
The Chaos Emeralds
ArmorObviously Robotnik's most important weapons. The Chaos Emeralds grant the weirder immense power they can make you completely invincible, invisible, immortal, able to heal from any damage, and even control over life and death itself. They are called the most powerful things on Mobius for a reason, allowing the wielder to cause massive floods, alter history, fuse dimensions, create alternative timelines, make illusions, and transport foes to any possible future; such as those where Robotnik already won. It's stated that if the user is either good or evil, they could wipe the opposing idea out entirely.
Doom
The most obvious equipment as well. He always has it on but it does far more than just protect Doom from blows. It's fitted out with force fields, lasers, and missles, along with communication to his team, ranging from calls to holograms. His mask also grants immunity to gasses and mind control.
Giant Super Spinner Machine
Time Machine This machine was designed to massively increase global warming, melting the ice caps and completely flooding the world.
Dooms has multiple time manipulating machines, with one inadvertently becoming an aging device that turned the Squadies into babies. Other time machines Doom made have been able to travel to Limbo, a place outside time.
Real World Portal
After collecting everything he needed, Doom could go to the writer's desk: a place that saw all of Super Hero Squad as mere comics.
The Infinity Sword
Alright, enough playing around, here's the big guns. Individual fractals have shown great reality warping properties, even being able to hold entire universes within. It can absorb powers, turn things to animals, completely change people's personality and intelligence, control minds, increase strength, nulify powers, control biology, corrupt objects, change powers, change size, drive people insane, control plants, possess people, age people to turn them into dinosaurs, and could destroy on the molecular level with only three gems in the Infinity Dagger. The full sword can create pocket dimensions, send people to other dimensions, slice through space-time, create holograms, reflect attacks, shake the foundation of reality, and even break the Hero Up sequence on a metafictional level. The Fractals also grant immunity to all the abilities previously listed.
Abilities
Robotnik
Toon Force
Cosmic Awareness Obviously with Robotnik's exaggerated...everything, he has some form of toon force. He's able to squash and stretch to extreme amounts and transform his body into odd shapes like seen above, with the smoke coming out him being able to kill plants.
Robotnik is "attuned" to the Chaos Emeralds' energies, letting him know when they're located.
Minor Plot Stuff
While not to an extreme amount, Robotnik has been shown to tamper with the story to some degree, such as stopping an episode from ending just to talk about how much he hates Sonic. He could also make a page for how he plans to beat Sonic(?).
Rules
Super Robotnik Across the dventure game books, Robotnik can't be defeated unless certain rules are met including: finding Tails, the Chaos Emeralds, and Power Rings. Without these you'll be sent back to the start of the story.
This super form gives Robotnik the typical Superman expy power list. Flight, freeze breath, laser eyes, and even super intelligence although it comes at a weakness: his butt is still rather human.
Doom
Toon Force
As a cartoon character, Doom obviously has some form of toon force, with rather basic squash and stretch shenanigans under his belt.
Non-Physical Interaction
Can fight and harm the Chthonadons, who were created out of the fabric of nothingness.
Hacking
Power Cosmic Doom has shown incredible knowledge in hacking, ranging from expertise in robots to computers.
Drained from the Silver Surfer, Doom obtained the Power Cosmic for his own vices. This allows him to reflect attacks, create portals, see throughout the cosmos, and even summon abstract beings like Eternity.
Doom was granted the powers of the Beyonder, a being stronger than every other hero and villain combined, as well as having extreme reality warping capabilities. Though the issue is that we don't really know how much of Beyonder's power Doom actually got, as he was quickly forced to dance with the Beyonder in the 80s for eternity.
Army
Robotnik
Scratch and Grounder
CoconutsRobotnik's most loyal minions who, despite his rottenness, truly love their boss. Grounder is practically a Swiss army knife, with functions ranging from flight to lasers to phones, basically anything that's needed Grounder probably has somewhere in him. Scratch meanwhile is closer to the brains (what little he has). Both have been put through the absolute ringer, coming back from just about anything from getting blown up to being turned into ash. And despite their less than stellar track record they can be surprising competent, operating complex machines and sometimes even catching Sonic themselves.
The second fiddle to Scratch and Grounder. Despite being fairly overlooked by his creator beyond sewer duty, Coconuts does seem largely smarter than Scratch and Grounder, albeit with even more overconfidence. Coconuts has utilized a chillie dog stand mech, and has gotten closer to succeeding plans of the robots than most.
Badniks
Race BotsA group of bounty hunters made by Robotnik. What they lack in individual brawn and brain, they make up for in sheer numbers, and can range from your traditional Sonic enemies like Buzzbombers or Motobugs to something more matching the insanity of Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, like a living gas pump. The Super Baadniks are even stronger versions of the machines, also able to somehow destroy stuff being shown on a TV.
Despite how vastly different the two shows are, SatAM and AoStH have gotten blended together in a variety of media, including the iconic mechanical enforcers of SatAM. They are, on average, stronger than the typical Badnik, yet just as numerous, as well as being fitted out with lasers and even some spaceships.
Snively
As I said AoStH and SatAM get kinda fused together at times, so of course everyone's favorite underlying nephew got in. While nothing threatening physically he acts as a second in command, and is able to rewrite the brainwaves of SWATbots to counteract hacking.
Fakers
DoomRobotnik has a multitude of fake versions of both objects and people, such as a fake Tails, fake Badniks, and even fake Sonics.
Pseudo Sonic
Not to be confused with the previously mentioned fake Sonics. Made as a complete replica of the blue blur in order to cause crimes and make people hate Sonic. He has all the abilities of the blue blur, who can melt himself and alter objects via altering pictures of them. It should be noted this one does require a pilot to be operational
Abomination and MODOK
DoombotsDooms ever consistent lackies of questionable intelligence. Abomination is the brawn of the duo, fighting on par with the Hulk and other powerful heroes. While not as physically capable, MODOK's kit is more vast, such as his mind beams able to make opponents go brain dead. On the much weirder end, Abomination once ripped out parts of the comic and argued with the comic writers themselves to let them win.
Doom's robot army, who're capable of mimicking Doom's look to fool people. They come in groups of- let me count here, one...two...carry the seven...uhhh, a fucking lot, although that amount comes at the cost of being rather weak, as they can only maybe take one hit from any hero worth their salt before exploding.
Loki
While certainly not beyond backstabbing Doom, Loki is certainly one of Doom's strongest assets. He has extreme magical powers able to warp reality to his content and even create Infinity Stones like the Rhythm Stone. He also controls his own army of frost giants.
As another magical Asgardian ally, Enchantress is skilled in the art of making people fall in love with her, even foes like the Super Hero Squad.
Super Skrull
Wielding the powers of the Fantastic Four, Super Skrull can make forcefields, turn invisible, stretch, control fire, and turn his skin rock hard. He can also copy other's powers.
Mystique is a shapeshifting spy who's great for hiding in enemy teams. Not only can she copy appearance, she can also copy powers.
Grey Gargoyle
With only a single touch, Grey Gargoyle can turn other people into stone.
Dormammu
An especially powerful ally to Doom, Dormammu has absorbed several Fractals before and has an army of mindless ones.
Paste Pot Pete
Later going by the Trapster, this powerful villain, uh, shoots glue. Not exactly the strongest in Doom's entourage but damn can he shoot out glue.
Mysterio: the master of illusions, who's proficiency in illusions can affect Hulk, despite the hero previously resisting similar tricks. It's also been shown he can create clones.
Shoots out projectiles with extreme heat. He's no Paste Pot Pete, that's for sure.
Certainly Doom's strongest member in terms of raw physicality, at times requiring the entire Squad solely to combat him.
Zzax
A being of pure electricity who's practically untouchable due to his physiology.
Super Hero Squad Clone-Bots
SpeedDoom's greatest inventions: exact replicas of the Super Hero Squad down to their very powers, which were made in order to do crimes to ruin the Squadies' public image.
Iron Man: Able to erase moments from time so hard they never exist in the comic, detect stretches in space time, hack technology, absorb electricity, coat himself in repulsar rays, grab and throw back energy , calculate probability, render opponents motionless, destroy you having an idea, and most importantly, toast things.
Thor: Has complete control of the weather; able to make storms hail and thunder.
Wolverine: Has enhanced senses such as smell and a greater healing factor than other characters.

Scratch and Grounder
Robotnik has shown the ability to easily dismantle his cohorts along with take what they dish out when his plans blow up in his face. They're also part of his army and they, of course, scale to themselves.
- Grounder could push a big Boulder
- They survived a large drop, making a huge crater
- Grounder could hold up a stone weight
- Survives the same stone weight falling on them
Badniks
As Sonic constantly trashes Robotnik's robots and we already talked about how Robotnik scales to Sonic, it's obvious Robotnik should too; and like Scratcher and Grounder, they're also apart of his army anyways.
- They can create earthquakes
- Destroy rock formations
- Destroy trees
- Destroy Robotnik's fortress
- Crush buildings
- Blow holes in walls
- SWATbots pushed down a large Robotnik statue
Miscellaneous
Being the main villain, Robotnik has some form of scaling to basically everyone we've seen in the series.
- Warpnik survived the Warp of Confusion blowing up
- Doctor Quark can melt rocks
- Bunnie Rabot can smash down a door
- Knuckles can dodge lasers
- Sally has similarly dodged lasers
- Goopster sucked up a plane
Doom
Supe Hero Squad
Being their main villain, Doom has obviously fought on par with the Squadies, and even if he's not as strong as the stronger members like Hulk, he's still taken beatings from them.
- Hulk can flip a coin into space
- Hulk can push a car into space
- Hulk can spin a Wheel of Fortune type wheel so hard it goes to space and breaks into a space station
- Hulk lifted buildings
- Hulk can throw Wolverine so hard he beats Falcon and Silver Surfer in race when they were inches from the finish line

- Sentinels could destroy the city in seemingly urgent time
- Screaming Mimi can make a large explosion
- The Toxic Squad could survive a explosion with the same animation
- Magneto sent tanks untto space

- Terrax went from earth to the moon
- Heralds of Galactus traveled to earth from outer space in a quick time
Weaknesses
Robotnik
Somehow, through all his losses, Robotnik's ego has still remained completely intact, and will be sure to assume victory even when he's far from won. His bots also often show less than stellar intelligence, commonly being outsmarted by obvious disguises.
Before the Verdict
The Part Where We Get to Talk About Marvel and Sonic Canon
(Art by @Lemon_Eyebrows on Twitter)
This blog has been using specifically the Super Hero Squad and Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog continuity, for the characters but there's some arguments to be made regarding the traditional comic and game versions. Starting on Sonic, the Mean Bean Machine has been referenced multiple times in mainline Sonic canon, and even Scratch and Grounder have appeared in IDW, not to mention that the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog game Mean Bean Machine also hasn't been listed as non-canon or a seperate continuity by the Encyclospeedia, despite it denoting certain other games as such, so there's certainly the argument to be made AoStH is canon to games, but here's the problem: it'd be super boring. The focus of the blog is on his characterization in Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, so just listing off his standard game information with parts of AoStH added in would detract from the end product. Now onto, Super Hero Squad, it's actually much more solidy canon...sorta. While the Doom from the show definitely isn't the same Doom from the comics, he resides within the same wider Multiverse. SHS canonically has an earth number, has crossed over with characters from the Ultimate Universe and Ultimate Spider-Man, who's met 616 Miles Morales, and other similar things that can stem from this. The Marvel Multiverse canonically has beyond infinite dimensions, with only one universe containing infinite dimensions, and in other Marvel shows that SHS has directly crossed over with Dr. Strange has also stated there's infinite dimensions. The key reason this hasn't been brought up is similar to Robotnik's,as the blog is primarily focused on specifically the Super Hero Squad continuity, rather than the broad implications scaling to the Marvel Multiverse would bring.
Sonic Speed
Sonic has a lot of weird speed feats in this show so I think he deserves a full section to explain exactly how fast this version of the blue blur is. The first feat here will be the warp factor nine statement. Warp commonly refers to the speed of light, but what this is a particular reference to is Star Trek, where there are levels of warp speeds one can go at. Due to the fact this is primarily just a reference to Star Trek instead of something solidly defined in universe, it's questionable to use the full measurement. Next up is Sonic running across the whole special zone. The main problem here is we don't know the precise size of the special zones, though considering other special zones are described like alternate univeres, that'd probaly be the safest bet. Okay, here's the big one you've probably seen if you've ever debated AoStH: the argument that time travel is only light speed. So is it? Kinda. Speed of light is only needed to acssess the time warp, meaning feats preformed in the time warp should still be Immeasurable as they are done outside of time and still use speed to move throughout time. Sonic also could move before the big bang, which is stated to create time, further backing this idea up.
That Damn Sword I Hate
As you probably noticed, the Infinity Sword is certainly one of, if not the most, important thing in Doom's arsenal, but if you watched the show you may be questioning that fact. You see, in order to utilize the full power of the Infinity Sword you need a powerful cosmic energy such as the Power Cosmic or Infinity Gauntlet. When Doom tried to use it it didn't exactly go so well, so why can he use it now? Simple: we're giving Doom everything, including the Power Cosmic he once had, therefore he can simply combine the two to use the Infinity Sword's full potential.
Dimensional Tiering
Despite personally finding dimensional tiering a lot less complex than what the wider Vs Comunity makes it out to be, there is one issue of constant confusion: the issue of spatial vs mathematical dimensions. The most notable case of this in Super Hero Squad is the sixth dimensional Fractal statement. To catch you up to what the problem is, there's typically two ways the word dimension will be used. It can refer to an alternate universe such as the Dark Dimension, or it could be a dimension like the more scientific definition, like how humans are three dimensional. So what is it here? While it's definitely easy to just assume universes and be done with it, I'd like to argue that this would be 6D. When talking about Fractals just a few episodes later they describe dimensions in relation to Fractals, specifically mentioning the 4th dimension and directly calling it time, giving the impression that when it comes to Fractals, the dimensions are more accurately spatial dimensions.
Verdicts
Stats
Starting off with speed, in terms of finite speed, Robotnik should realistically out speed because while Doom can keep up with character who can cross the galaxy, Robotnik can keep up with Sonic, who could cross a special zone for over 2 Quintillion times the speed of light. It should be noted however, that while Robotnik can massively out speed with finite calculations, both have plenty of Immeasurable arguments, making speed realistically even. In terms of the weaker units, going by pure strength and durabillity, Robotnik should edge out in that department, as Doombots are rather fodder, so even generously scaling them to lower tier feats would only get them to country, meanwhile Badniks can destroy entire continents. But now let's get to the real meat and potatoes. The Chaos Emeralds are stated to be able to fuse dimensions together, and being generous and assuming a single Emerald can do this, and there's 7 like the games, that'd be around 14× Multiversal. Meanwhile one Fractal can destroy six dimensions using the universe interpretation and going with how there's enough fractals too fill a galaxy, thats 10 Sextillion times Multiversal. Even when being especially generous to Robotnik, Doom's power is comically above his. Another thing to note of is that Doom was stated to be able to rule every dimension of space and time, and taking into account the ties Super Hero Squad has to the broader Marvel Multiverse could lead to an interpretation of High Hyperversal and even Outerversal levels of power for Doom, which really explains the stat difference in of itself.
Abilities, Arsenal, and Armies
Alright let's get into this. Robotnik's arsenal is vast and great for an army fight, with multiple options for mind and crowd control that lets Robotnik quickly decommission and take advantage of Doom's own army, not to mention hacking that could quickly turn Doom's Doombots and tech against him. His weird board game type things added with the ability to give bad luck also make for a dastardly combo. Yet Doom's not out for the count either, as the clone bots come with considerable power, and while Snively rewriting SWATbot brainwaves knocks out hacking, the analysis abilities still make planning way easier. Doom's more organic teammates are also very useful assets, like Dormammu and Loki, who not only have their own armies, but can also warp reality, or Mystique and Super Skrull, who can hide in plain sight and even copy Robotnik's abilities for Doom's cause. But let's be honest, these all don't really matter in the grand scheme. If this was a chess board Robotnik or Doom could turn any of these into queens or pawns. The Chaos Emeralds and the Infinity Sword; artifacts so powerful they make basically everything else here meaningless, so let's take a closer look. While both can bend reality to their will, the Chaos Emeralds can send doom to a future where Robotnik's already won, basically ensuring victory. For as broken as that is, Doom actually does have a trump card through his connection to the Time Tower, which means when Doom's in a sticky situation like this he can simply rewind time to before Robotnik won to change things, not to mention the Infinity Sword can also drain cosmic energies like the Emeralds, meaning they could absorb some of Robotnik's best tools. Despite this, Robotnik actually does have one trick up his sleeve; due to the choose your own adventure adventure books of all things, Robotnik can't be beat without certain objects like the Chaos Emeralds or Tails, something Doom doesn't have any real access to, but surprisingly enough, Doom has one final counter to this, as the Infinity Sword could interrupt the Hero Up sequence, which is a fairly similar plot-based event, meaning Doom could just cut through being told to go back to the first page.
Tertiary Factors
While both are geniuses, overall Robotnik is the superior intellect. While both have similar feats like, creating perfect copies of their nemesises, Robotnik can make himself 1000× smarter, along with having a proper second in command. Doom also suffers from a lack of loyalty, while all of Robotnik's troops love him, with Scratch and Grounder thinking of him as their dad. Meanwhile basically every villain has tried to overthrow Doom at least once. Although when it comes to ego, Robotnik falls into that trap way harder than Doom.
