Starseid Character blog

      Starseid (Ziroverse)       Character Blog

Fan fiction. A medium known the world over, yet scarcely talked about seriously. But some of humanity's greatest achievements have some place in fan fiction. One Godly being would write many a fanficic with their ultimate creation being Super Saiyan New God. And one being from that story would eventually become much more, his might only surpassed by the creator himself. This unsuspecting fanfic version of Darkseid, dubbed Starseid for his ability to turn the size of a star, was actually much more than he let on, with him turning out to truly be a cosmic entity beyond even the plot, who uses his avatars across reality to interact with the mortals of the world. In the original Super Saiyan New God story however, he met a foe who could match him: Goku. This Saiyan could even go toe to toe with his true form. This loss stuck with him, causing him to grow stronger and stronger and be hell bent on taking more and more. He acts as the Herald for his creator: the Winged Merchant, and his influence has spread. Starseid is a God worshipped by many. With deeper and deeper research, it's unknown what Starseid's true limits actually are. While we know the Winged Merchant surpasses him, we don't know if he could still lose to the likes of Goku. Starseid may not even be Darkseid, just wearing the mask to fit in. Hell, even other characters may be Starseid, such as Lord Null, meaning potentially anyone could actually be an avatar of Starseid. Perhaps even me...

 Before We Begin...

Starseid is a big inside joke, so he's made a lot of appearances in questionable stuff; so what's actually canon Starseid? Everything! That's not just me bullshitting a composite to not have to decide either. Ziro (the current online name for the writer of SSNG), has said that every version of Starseid is an avatar of true form Starseid, and that he spans the ENTIRE cosmology. This includes Super Saiyan New God, its secondary stories, random appearances in other things, and even memes and joke statements, with this being backed up by Purgatory, a series connected to Ziroverse, having statements that all canon, non-canon, and fanon exist in the wider cosmology. This also includes his Character.AI bot, which we'd like to mention we don't support AI written stories/art and are against it, we just messed around with it awhile back and is still part of the overall cosmology. A lot of this also comes from Discord servers and other unconventional means to tell stories that don't make this all exactly public information, so please trust us that this all did infact happen, even if the original material isn't observable.

Also big thanks to Ziro the original creator for helping give official statements on the media involved.

Skill and Experience

Starseid has existed since existence began. While technically only being six years old, as that's how long its been sense Winged Merchant supposedly wrote him, in-canon he's been around inside other universes for literal infinities; plural. As he has existed sense the beginning of most creations, he's lived through all of Purgatory which canonically has several infinitely long stretches of time happen across its existence. When it comes to outright fights he's no slouch either. He's fought against Goku whose trained multiple years, conquered countless universes, and is a genius tactical mind, knowing exactly when he must stop playing around and end a fight quickly. And if that doesn't do the trick, he is litterally omniscient, meaning he should know basically everything witin the cosmology. This level of knowledge includes showings from characters like Z Game, who could recreate the entirety of Purgatory while removed from the plot in a ploy to revive himself, fusing with it entirely, and even figure out he was fictional and escape outside of the plot with just his deduction.

Equipment

The Anti Life Equation

Described as a transcendent equation that has the ability to completely destroy a being's will and mind at large. Ziro also described it as the antithesis of creation energy, and a parallel to Game Energy which in Purgatory is the fundamental building blocks of all existence, making up even concepts, plots, and beyond. Ziro has further commented that it lets you use a darker, corrupted version of creation energy with what seems to be a less stable nature. Also, it may be able to turn people into mindless singing zombies.

Super Saiyan New God(The Fanfiction)

Yes, the literal fanfiction itself. It contains many strong fighters such as Goku and the entire Justice League, and more importantly, destroyed every other DC Dragon Ball crossover fanfic in existence, only growing stronger with your hate.

Abilities

Size Manipulation

One of Starseid's most iconic abilities, even being his namesake. The form is called "big Starseid" commonly, and Ziro said it has a presumable multiplier of 777,777,777 times due to the mass conversion. This was first used by Starseid in the original SSNG.

Omega Beams

Being a version of Darkseid, however disconnected it may be, it's obvious he'd have his most iconic ability. They're your standard laser beams, and akin to his official counterpart, can erase objects and people alike. It also has special abilities like making you stupid or mending your buttcrack, because why wouldn't it.

Portal Creation

Almost every Starseid has done this at least once. It not only makes a great entrance, but has the added plus of traveling to places as far as higher dimensions, such as where his true form lives.

Regeneration

A ability used by many Starseids to varying degrees, ranging from minor damage and cuts all the way to completely healing him from his entire body being disintegrated.

Transmutation

Via unknown means Starseid has the ability to turn people into Parademons to serve his empire. This was done by his original SSNG variant.

 BFR

He can punch people into other dimensions and even other Discord servers, which contains their own narratives and broader cosmologies.

Adaptation

If all that wasn't enough, Starseid is capable of learning from his mistakes and adapting to anything, growing stronger along with it.

Beyond Dimensional Existence

As claimed by an AI version of the Winged Merchant, AI Starseid transcends the very concepts of dimensionality and time, claiming he'd not only be the most complex character in fiction if tiering was applied, but that he transcends fiction conceptually.

Plot Armor

In the Abridged version, even the plot itself is on Starseid's court, allowing him to survive attacks that should've logically killed him.

Corruption

Corrupted the real life person of Ziro to subconsciously replace Darkseid with Starseid.

Summoning

Starseid can summon the Winged Merchant, whose even stronger than him, and is the writer of the entire verse at large. The Winged Merchant can similarly summon anybody he pleases, and maintain complete control of the narrative. This  was performed by the abridged version.

Avatars

As you've most definitely noticed by now, Starseid has avatars that can be in any form Starseid desires, with them being his primary means of action and contact to the rest of existence. They can be completely controlled by Starseid or left on something similar to autopilot to do what they wish. All their abilities are merely lesser facets of true form Starseid's full power, as he's infinitely beyond them.

Living Plot Physiology

Starseid's true form is the narrative of the ENTIRE cosmology minus the Winged Merchant, with Starseid having complete omnipresence and control of existence on a metafictional level because of it. This would include characters like Wack T. Ass who's stated to have every ability (minus flight) and resistance that exists on the Super Power Wiki, having infinite layers to all of his powers. If that doesn't do the trick, he can also revert a character's places in the story to be at a weaker point in their storyline. Starseid also exists as a living Droste effect, as the true form Starseid we see being actually just a part of a bigger Starseid, which is only just part of a bigger Starseid, and this loops forever, meaning true form Starseid infinitely transcends himself and that there will always be a higher Starseid. True form also seems to be able to resist being written by the Winged Merchant, who is beyond even him.

Weaknesses

Being so all powerful means your pool of weakness is rather shallow. So, what is it that takes him down? Some powerful artifact? Some intricate ritual? God himself coming down to smite him? No. He just sucks at golf. His weakness is golf. Does he die around golf courses? Is he just really bad at the game? Is this for all Starseids? Who knows, but Ziro has spoken that's his weakness: golf.

Clarification

Ziroverse Cosmology

You've probably noticed talks about multiverse this entire cosmology that so what is the total cosmology

Starting off tame, we know the multiverse, otherwise called the Ziroverse, is infinite, and every universe in it has its own infinite set of universal variations of it, meaning there's infinite sets of infinite multiverses. One particular universe in this multiverse further expands the cosmology through Purgatory.

The cosmology of Purgatory is incredibly expensive, especially going off of the original and first Purgatory. Starting with just the base multiverse, there are not only infinite timelines and universes, as there are also unquantifiable  dimensions contained within as well. Before getting into the wider expanses, a major part of the cosmology is Johnny's space station, which is the size of five entire multiverses, and being connected to every dimension. Beyond the multiverse, there are also structures called hyperverses, which although have no set size, are said to be larger than a character who's seen the whole multiverse can comprehend. Outside of this is where the gods dwell, transcending the typical reality and all of its concepts by an infinite degree. Before getting into the super meta parts, it should also be noted that there are infinite stories in the wider verse that contains other entire Purgatories, as well as the cyclical nature producing new interpretations of the past world. Although not as impressive as P1, these additions still have some notable details, such as mentions of alephs and string theory cosmology, and most notably is P10's additions to it all. It was shown that not only is the multiverse comprised of all possible stories in infinite variation, Primordial transcends all of it, viewing it as fictional. Even more impressively is the fact there's another being who transcends him to a similar degree. The final piece of Purgatory is the absolutely insane meta parts, with characters like Narran, Wack, or the Outer Gods being beyond everything previously mentioned on an incomprehensible level. This section also has many pieces to it, containing all fanon, canon, and non-canon, with each subsection potentially having infinite layers to it. What this all means is that Purgatory not only contain everything it's connected to, but transcends it as well.

But that's just the beginning, as outside of that there's also mentions of beyond infinite dimensions, an entire fan fiction site, but most importantantly, there's servers; the literal Discord servers. Not only is previously mentioned things, such as Purgatory, encapsulated by these servers, but there are also pieces such as tournaments with characters stated to be outerversal, boundless, and just beyond the tiering system itself. One such example is the infamous Outer Tournament, most notably containing Lord English. To those unaware, English in this tournament was given a full composite of both canon, non-canon, and fanon of Homestuck, basically entailing that litterally everything pertaining to him is actually canon and controlled by him now, with examples given being him scaling above a character who was directly stated by the author to be boundless, as well as another character ascending into the real world, implying English is on a similar scope. And then there's the Trio Tower transcending EVERYTHING said so far.

And lastly there's Winged Merchant's writing universes. These transcend everything, and act as a multiverse above existence. There is a universe in this multiverse for every story in which there's already multiple instances of infinite sets of stories, meaning this is a few sets of infinite multiverses above all existence. Then there's Starseid who, as shown in his true form render, includes the universes in Winged Merchant's multiverse, along with the rest of existence, and the full Starseid infinitely transcends this endlessly, putting the total cosmology structure, which is Starseid himself, absurdly high into boundless at minimum, not to mention statements of stuff beyond the tiering system that could count.

Does Starseid Actually Upscale Fiction?

Many characters have something similar to a statement of soloing or transcending fiction, ranging from Jojo to South Park to DC, and it's usually not taken as a legitimate argument. So is Starseid actually above fiction? Well no but also yes. You can't just point to any fictional character and immediately say Starseid wins cause they're fictional, but that doesn't mean the statements and feats are meaningless. What puts Starseid apart from say South Park is we actually know where a lot of fiction scales as he comes from a cosmology with vs debaters, so we know stuff say Superman can do, we know characters scaled to outer and boundless with all sorts of dumb hax, and other similar sentiments, so Starseid doesn't literally upscale fiction, but he does upscale a wide majority of it.

If Fanon is Canon, Can't I Just Headcanon Starseid to be Whatever?

This is certainly an interesting concept, as yes for every statement that Starseid is busted, there can be one he's fodder; but it doesn't exactly work in this case. As every Starseid is an avatar, it's simple that what can easily fold one Starseid is easily surpassed by true form. So no, Starseid isn't in a quantum state between beyond boundless and below hypoversal unfortunately, because honestly that sounds kinda interesting.

Overall
  • Avatars range in stats from Abridged being Universal, original being Hyperversal from the multiverse's size, and AI getting to Outerversal at least
  • True form should get to Boundless with many arguments to surpass the tiering system as a whole
  • Is completely omniscient in a verse with people smart enough to recreate very big cosmological constructs in a disadvantageous situation
  • Is cunning and manipulative, with countless years of experience
  • Avatars have a variety of hax
  • True form's existence as the narrative of all existence brings many advantages
  • Anti-Life is extremely powerful
  • Golf solos neg diff, bro's a fraud

Scaling

Purgatory vs Ziroverse

PvZ is a scrapped non-canon fighting game crossing over Purgatory and Ziroverse. While it's not canon to most parties, Starseid and Winged Merchant still are canon as only one of them exists, not to mention that it has true form Starseid. So compositing Purgatory does give characters scaling to Starseid, but also two other characters this is actually canon for. Those being the two guests characters: Grimbo and Dr Uncommon! Dr. Uncommon killed every other version of himself in the cosmology, and Grimbo is the only Grimbo in reality, shown as when he crossed over with Purgatory literally being shipped from his original series.

Winged Merchant

Being the top of the verse and creating Starseid he obviously upscales him, and while there's arguments to say Starseid scales to winged like aforementioned PvZ and him seemingly being in Starseid, it has been consistently said he upscales Starseid and has the feats to back it up.

Possible Matchups

Although he's very unlikely, practically impossible infact, to ever get on any versus show, it's still fun to talk about his matchup spread, and he has a surprisingly vast selection. Not all are hits, the Ziroverse Villain Battle Royale I find quite bad, as just a regular Ziroverse Battle Royale surpasses it in my opinion. A lot lack anything special outside of just overpowered fanon characters, like Shaggy or Gorefield. When it comes to matchups I like, El Hermano is just incredibly funny. More seriously there's Lord English, which is very fun thematically and animation wise, with both being cosmic plot gods above canon and fanon who's weakness is a sport of a small white ball being hit by a stick, and it can utilize the insanity of true form, with Starseid even being able to reset Lord English back to Caliborn. But my favorite is Ultra Vegito. It's not the best thematically, just batshit insane OCs, with one being a Saiyan who kills gods and the other a God who killed a Saiyan, and it can't really utilize true form well, but it still just kinda works. You can utilize both's insane history and it really hits into Starseids roots being from SSNG, and it was also his first proper matchup, meaning it's a bit of a legacy. It definitely has its problems a plenty, but I love it all the same.

Conclusion

So. Why'd I do this? To prove Starseid as an ultimate God? To laugh and say "I'm better, I'm better, my character wins, my character wins!"? But the answer really is neither. You'll probably view a few things here as just for scaling, no other reason than to make characters strong, and I can't exactly blame you. Personally I'd agree some things are here are, at least in part, because it'd scale high, although not necessarily to make some strongest character in fiction, but I just love scaling, I like feats like these, they intrest me, and some of this was totally unintentional and just a result of having tons of autistic vs debaters making stories and messing around and accidentally making this full universe. I did this out of a love for Starseid; not only does he represent a close friendship I have, but also being literally everything, representing a huge part of my life in all these servers. I also genuinely find Starseid, cool yes he has problems, but some stuff is just interesting to me. A God who represents every story, who is every version of himself, ranging from memes to Discord bots to anything else you can think up, taking from a similar character who's a God sending avatars just on a far more meta scale. Similar to someone like Mr. Mxy, where it's just interesting that across everything he's still him. So this is sorta a love letter to the big guy. Thank you Starseid for everything, you may not be as big as the character you're based, on but in my heart you'll always be a star.

See you all later, hopefully in future blogs to come.
